Christina Callaghan

Christina Callaghan passed away at the age of 88 on Saturday, November 06, 2021.  She was born near Oto, Iowa on June 1, 1933 and the daughter of Ernest and Erma (Thompson) Keitges.  Christina attended St. Joseph Catholic School and was the queen for many crownings of the Blessed Virgin Mary.  She graduated in May of 1952 and on October 31, 1954, Christina married Glen Callaghan and the couple was blessed with one son, Steven, in 1956.

Christina and Glen lived on a farm for 30 years, and Christina enjoyed gardening, canning, tending to her flowers, animals, and traveling.  She worked for Zenith Radio Corporation from 1966-1978.  Later in years, Christina moved into Mapleton, Iowa and started the Korean Conflict Marine Reunions from 1988-2008. 

Those left to enjoy memories are her son Steve Callaghan and fiancé Lori, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friend Sherri and her husband from Texas.

Christina was preceded in death by her parents, husband Glen, brother Wayne Keitges, sister Mary Pope and her husband Richard Pope.
