Christine A. Ketelsen

Christine A. Ketelsen, 62, of Waterbury, Nebraska passed away Monday, June 21, 2021.  Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 26, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ponca.  Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Friday, June 25, 2021 at Mohr Funeral Home in Ponca.  Burial will be at South Creek Cemetery.  

Christine was born the daughter of Robert and Mary (Redwelski) Walter on October 9, 1958 in Omaha, Nebraska.  She received her schooling in the Omaha Catholic schools.  Christine married Richard “Rick” Ketelsen on June 6, 1981 in Omaha.  After their marriage, they made their home in Waterbury. 

Christine worked for Michael’s Foods for nearly 40 years.  She enjoyed her job and made many friends over the years.

She enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s sports and activities, Kansas City Chief and Husker football, crocheting, reading, camping, and fishing.

Christine is survived by her husband, Rick Ketelsen of Waterbury; children, Rebecca (Brad Greenough) Ketelsen of Fremont, Bo (Angie) Ketelsen of Martinsburg, and Kathryn (Brian) Sullivan of Allen; siblings, Cathy Hofmann, Robert (Chrissy) Walter, and Dottie Braniff; and six grandchildren with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Frank.
