Christine Sue Whitead, 52, of Sioux City, IA passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at a local hospital from a sudden illness.Services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at the Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City, NE. Burial will be at Arlington Township Cemetery in Moville, IA. Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. with the family present at 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.Chris was born on June 19, 1962 in Sioux City, IA to Marvin and Lois (Crow) Ahrens. She attended school at North. She was employed at Anderson Brothers Printing for the past 15 years. She married Ron Whitead on July 12, 1979 at St. Paul Lutheran Church.She loved spending time with her daughters and grandchildren; as well as the many memories she shared with her husband, including the drives in the corvettes with her feet on the dash.Survivors include her brother, Jerry (Barb) Ahrens of Kingsley, IA; her husband, Ron Whitead of Sioux City, IA; their 5 daughters, Stacie (Terry) Berg of South Sioux City, NE, Amanda Whitead (James Meier), Ren'e Whitead, Sara Whitead (Reed Conrad), Robyn Whitead (Nick Fowler) all of Sioux City, IA; and their 10 grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her mother, Lois (Crow) Ahrens and her father, Marvin Ahrens.Casket bearers will be Randy Whitead, Jr., Curtis Whitead, Aaron Whitead, James Meier, Reed Conrad and Terry Berg, Jr.Honorary casket bearers will be Nick Fowler and Mike Williams.
