Cindy R. Krumwiede, 53, of Homer, Nebraska passed away suddenly after suffering a heart attack, Saturday July 2, 2022. Services will be Thursday July 7, 2022 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at Mohr & Becker-Hunt Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date at Omaha Valley Cemetery in Homer.
Cindy was born the daughter of William and Verla (Bultman) Meins on February 22, 1969 in Hawarden, Iowa. She graduated from South Sioux City High School in 1987 and then from the Iowa School of Beauty. Cindy married Kyle Krumwiede on October 16, 1993 in Dakota City, Nebraska. They made their home in Homer.
Cindy worked for MercyOne Hospital for 15 years in several roles. She then spent a few years at the Homer School before starting at the Dunes Surgical Hospital.
She was a diehard Nebraska Husker fan and also enjoyed playing softball and coaching her girls growing up. She loved her family and friends dearly and was at her happiest when she was around them or spending time outdoors. She was a proud member of the Homer Volunteer Fire Dept. from October 2009 to April 2017.
Cindy is survived by her husband, Kyle Krumwiede of Homer; children, Heather (Shawn) Schochenmaier of Sioux Falls, Brittany Stanton of Parker, Kyleigh (Bobby) Kargle of Homer, and Kasey (Liz) Krumwiede of Homer; parents, Bill Meins of Newcastle and Verla Meins of Dakota City; siblings, Renee (Kim) Wagner, Jamie (Angie) Meins, and Kristina (Corey) Malm; and grandchildren, Carter, Brynn, Corbin, and Briar Schochenmaier.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
