Clara B. Hankins

Clara B. Hankins, 84 of Homer, NE, passed away Sunday, September 09, 2018 at her home.  Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 14, 2018 at the United Methodist Church, Homer.  Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Becker Hunt Funeral Home, South Sioux City, NE.  Burial will be in the Omaha Valley Cemetery, Homer.   Clara was born September 23, 1933 at Walthill, NE the daughter of Otto and Hattie (Wilder) Christ.  She was baptized at the Methodist Church in Walthill and attended school in Walthill.  She married Orvil (Skip) Hankins in 1955 and the couple farmed south of Homer where she raised her children.   Clara is survived by her son Orvil (Skippy) and Pam Hankins, Jr.,  of Homer, a son in-law Allyn and Ana Gonsor of Fremont, one brother Albert Christ of West Point, one sister Ramona Bells of Columbus, grandchildren Angela (Roy) Thompson, Allyn (Holly) Gonsor, Jr., Aldon Blount, Melissa Sharp, Kurt (Karen) Sharp, five great grandchildren with another to arrive soon, and a special friend Dave Hofer.   She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 2000, three daughters, Connie Gonsor, Judy Hankins, Suzie Christ, seven brothers, Clearance Christ, Gene Christ, Earnie Christ, Jerald (JC) Christ, Fritz Christ, Arthur (Sonney) Christ, Amile Christ, and one sister Mildred Biggio.
