Claude C. Monk

Claude C. Monk, 75, of Sioux City passed away Monday, March 30, 2020 at his home. A private graveside service will be held Friday, April 3, 2020 at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Claude was born April 2, 1944 in Sioux City to Simeon and Margaret (Pithan) Monk. He grew up in Sioux City and graduated from Central High School. On October 11, 1968, he married Donna Vanderlinden. To this union, two daughters were born.

Claude served in the United States Army. He was a former member of the Shriners where he was part of the rat patrol and a clown. He retired from IBP Inc.

Those left to honor his memory are his wife, Donna Monk, of Sioux City; daughters Lisa Reynolds and her husband, Jason, of Coppell, TX and Tonya Monk of Sioux City; grandchildren Jordan Monk of Lewisville, TX, Emily Reynolds of Coppell, TX, Idalis Kelly of Sioux City, Dalton Kelly of Sioux City; great grandchildren Cole and Chloe Merchant.

He was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters.
