Craig C. Rohde

Craig C. Rohde, 57, of Dakota Dunes, SD, passed away August 15, 2021 at a local hospital.  A funeral service will be held Friday, August 20 at 2:00 p.m. at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel.  Visitation will be from 12-2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.  Online condolences may be made to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Craig was born on November 13, 1963 in Sioux City to Richard and Betty (Howard) Rohde.  He graduated from Maple Valley High School in 1982.  He was united in marriage to Carla Downing on October 7, 1989 in Sioux City, she preceded him in death in 1991.  Craig worked at Brothers Paper Box for 10 years. 

He loved driving Nick and Justin (his nephews) all over Mapleton. He loved sports watching and going to local games such as football, baseball, basketball hockey and loved watching his grandsons do wrestling for a few years and play soccer, basketball, baseball and football. He also made lots of friends in his lifetime that enjoyed his company and he enjoyed theirs. 

Those left to honor his memory include his daughter Rachel Martinez, Sioux City, IA; grandchildren: Seth and Max Martinez; siblings: Jeff Rohde, and Jeanie Boisen, all of Sioux City.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Carla; sister Cindy (Tony) Watterson.
