Curtis "Curt" John Oynes

Curtis John ‘Curt’ Oynes of Sioux City passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2022 at a local facility.  Visitation will be Sunday, May 22^nd at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel on Hamilton Blvd beginning at 2:00 p.m. through 6:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life Service beginning at 5:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon.  In lieu of flowers please support Hospice of Siouxland.  Online condolences may be offered at www.meyerbroschapels.com

Curt was born near Anaheim, California, on June 18, 1948 to Christian and Lorraine (Nelson) Oynes.  He grew up in Anaheim; Curt obtained a BA in History and BS in Accounting.  On June 4, 1983 he married Kathleen Bernard in Spring Valley, Minnesota.  In 1989 he and his wife moved to Sioux City.  He worked for AC & R Specialist for 30 years as a Payroll Specialist and retired in December 2015.

Curt is Survived by his wife Kathleen, son John, nephew Eric (Heather) and family, and Jonathan (Francine) and family.

Curt was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Chris.
