Curtis W. Eden

   Curtis Wayne Eden, 59, of Westfield, IA passed away with his family by his side on Friday, March 4, 2022 at his home.

   Cremation rites will be accorded and no services are planned.  Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel is assisting with arrangements.

   Curtis, the son of Roger and JoAnn (Hummel) Eden, was born April 2, 1962 in Sioux City, IA.  Most of his childhood years were spent in Arvada, CO then in Las Vegas, NV.  While living in Las Vegas, he met Kathleen “Kathy” Hinckle and they were united in marriage on July 20, 1984.  This union was blessed with three sons.  Curtis and Kathy made their home in Las Vegas until moving to Westfield, IA in 1993.  Curtis worked for Wells in Le Mars for ten years and for the past fifteen years at SmithCo.

   Curtis enjoyed camping, fishing, and was an avid Denver Broncos fan.  Above all, he enjoyed spending time with family especially his grandchildren.

   He is survived by his wife Kathy of Westfield, IA; sons Joseph Eden of Akron, IA, Joshua (Christopher) Eden-Hanson of Sioux City, IA and Jesse (Amber) Eden of Westfield, IA; six grandchildren Ashton, Alyssa, Preston, Grayson, Abel and Kynlee to be born April of this year; his father and step-mother Roger (Mary) Eden of Las Vegas, NV; brother Mike (Kathy) Eden of Topeka, KS; sister Shella (Terry) Newell of McPherson, KS; and nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

   He was preceded in death by his mother JoAnn; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
