Cynthia Lou Mohr born Cynthia Lou Riley passed away unexpectedly at a local hospital on September 10th, 2021.
A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Monday, September 20th, 2021 at the Nelson Berger Northside Chapel, 822 Jennings Street, Sioux City, Iowa 51105. Visitation with the family present will be from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Cindy was a long-time resident of South Sioux City, NE where she attended school at St. Michael’s as well as South Sioux City High School. Cindy had various jobs, starting with Fosters Drive Inn in S.S.C. in the mid 1970’s, where she met and married Jon “Tylo” Kendell Mohr who worked in the meat packing industry. Cindy also worked at the Boulevard Supermarket in Sioux City and the HyVee in S.S.C. and then as a Walmart greeter in S.S.C. during semi-retirement. Cindy enjoyed time going to Boy’s Club Bingo and well as Goodwill shopping.
Cindy is survived by her long-time friend Marlin “Red” Smith; sons: Jeremy Mohr, Benjamin Mohr, and Dustin Mohr; grandchildren: Chaley Mohr, Mason Mohr, Tylo Mohr, MaKayla Scofield, Candis Stone, Jon Mohr, Donovan Mohr, Tyler Mohr, and Abby Mohr; four great grandchildren; brothers: Thomas Riley, William Riley, John Riley, and Michael Riley and her cousin Toni Curto.
Cindy was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Jenny (MacMillian) Riley, husband Jon “Tylo” Kendell Mohr, father figure William Crowley, and an aunt Mary Curto.
