Daniel D. Coppock, 80, passed away in his sleep on Monday, November 28th, after a courageous fight with a lengthy illness. Dan was born on August 25th, 1942, to Harold and Alice (Giannetti) Coppock. He was a lifelong resident of Sioux City and graduated from Central High in 1961. A few years after graduation, Dan enlisted in the U.S. Army and was stationed at various military bases throughout Europe. Dan met his wife Dottie in 1969 and they wed in 1970. They were together for 53 years. Dan worked at Sioux Tools, Inc. for 35 years until it closed in 2002. He was an avid sports fan, and enjoyed bowling, golfing and playing softball throughout his lifetime.
Dan is survived by his wife, three children and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, half-sister and half-brother. Cremation rites will be accorded and no services are planned. Condolences and memories may be shared online through www.meyerbroschapels.com. Dan will be tremendously missed, but never forgotten.
