Daniel Ray Kieser

Daniel Ray Kieser, 65, of Hornick passed away Friday, June 7, 2019 in a motor vehicle accident. Services will be held at a later date. The Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel is assisting the family. 

Daniel was born April 29, 1954 in Wessington Springs, South Dakota and grew up in Huron, South Dakota.  In 1973, he enlisted in the Army. Daniel served in the Army towards the end of the Vietnam War as an auto technician, a position he enjoyed thoroughly. Daniel separated from the Army in 1977. On November 25, 1995, Daniel married Sharon White in Onawa, Iowa. They shared 21 wonderful years of marriage together until Sharon’s passing in October of 2016.

Daniel enjoyed tinkering with vehicles; often several at a time; welding and making things. Daniel loved spending time with his grandchildren, loved animals, and was always willing to help anyone in need.

Those left to cherish his memory are his step-daughter April (Brad) Deemer of Homer, NE; step-son John (Vicky) Terrell of Whiting, IA, 12 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.

Daniel was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
