He grew up on a farm near Arthur, Iowa and graduated from Odebolt-Arthur High School in 1989. On
June 5, 1993, Darrin was united in marriage to Lori Uhl of Battle Creek, Iowa. To this union, two children

He enjoyed fishing in South Dakota, hunting and playing golf. Darrin liked to travel with his family, as
they went on several trips in search of warmer weather during the winter. He loved people and liked to
have fun. He was always up for a competition, which may include cards, dice, playing pool or a backyard
