David L. Farley, 34, of South Sioux City, passed away Tuesday, June 29, 2021 after many years of struggling with mental health and addiction. A memorial service will be 6:00 P.M. Monday, July 5, 2021 at Mohr & Becker-Hunt Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
David was born the son of Larry and Kelle (Mast) Farley on August 30, 1986 in Sioux City, Iowa. He graduated from South Sioux City High School in 2005. David worked various fast food restaurant jobs over the years.
Spending time with his children brought him great joy. He enjoyed gaming with his son and reading with his daughter and taking them both to the park and carnivals. He also enjoyed watching Husker football.
The family would like to thank Heartland Counseling, Siouxland Mental Health, Jackson Recovery, and family members who tried so hard to support and help David. His family hopes to be a source of support to anyone struggling with their demons.
David is survived by his children, Jamison and Izabel Farley; parents, Larry and Kelle Farley of South Sioux City; and sister, Stephanie Farley of South Sioux City; grandmother, Joanne Mast of South Sioux City; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Shirley Farley and Harlan Mast.
The family asks you not to dress up. Please be casual.
In lieu of flowers donations given to the family will be used for his children’s education.
