David G. Schwartz

David Schwartz, 70, of Sioux City, IA passed away February 6, 2023.  A funeral service will be held Friday, February 10^th at 10:00 a.m. at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Online condolences may be made to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

David was born on August 22, 1952 in Norfolk, NE to Thomas and Marlene (Heckman) Schwartz.  He graduated from East High School in 1971 and was drafted into the United States Army.  He was united in marriage to Kathleen McDaniel in 1973, she preceded him in death in 2015.  David began his career at Farner-Bocken and worked there for over 40 years before retiring.  He enjoyed camping, fishing, bowling, and watching Jeopardy, Family Feud and Westerns.  He was also a member of The Eagles Club.

Those left to honor his memory include his children: Kevin Schwartz, Homer, NE, Cyndi (Sheldon) Koeppe, Ponca, NE, Keith Schwartz, Des Moines; siblings: Richard (Rebecca) Schwartz, Sioux City, IA, Tommy (Jan) Schwartz, Sioux City, IA, Janice (Lee) Mitchell, Hornick, IA; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, 2 infant brothers; and brother, Jerry Schwartz.
