Deanna Lynn Hyres

Deanna Lynn Hyres, 51 of Sioux City passed away Saturday, February 22, 2025 following flu complications. Abiding by her wishes, cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 6, 2025 at Calvary Cemetery. 

Deanna was born the daughter of Larry and Frances (Frohman) FitzGibbon on June 29, 1973 in Sioux City, Iowa. She graduated from Heelan High School in 1991 and then from WIT with a degree in medical transcription.

She did clerical work for a trucking company and then for Siouxland Center for Active Generations for many years.

She enjoyed being outdoors and going for walks. She liked watching scary movies, playing board games, coloring, spending time with friends and family, helping people any chance that she could, and keeping track of her grandkids.

Deanna is survived by her daughters, Samantha (Dalton) Schonrock and Tabitha McIntyre; sister, Christy (Joey) Hoefling; grandchildren, Kali, Aleigha, Ellie, Kori and Lily; and nieces and nephews, Amber, Carter, Elizabeth and Zach.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Michael Frohman; and uncle, Jerry FitzGibbon.
