Derrick "Peanut" L. Roth

Derrick L. "Peanut" Roth, 29, of South Sioux City, NE passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 following a work related accident at the Dixon County Feedyard in rural Allen, NE.Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at Tri- State Christian Church in South Sioux City, NE. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 P.M. on Friday, April 27, 2012, with the family present at 6:00 P.M. and a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City, NE.Derrick was born in Sioux City, IA on October 12, 1982, the son of David and Connie (Linn) Roth. He grew up in South Sioux City, NE and graduated from South Sioux City High School. He attended Northeast Community College in Norfolk, earning an electrician degree. He joined the IBEW Local 222 Union and continued training until he received his Journeyman's license. Derrick worked as an electrician for High Tech, O'Dell and Q.P.C.He was a member of Tri State Christian Church and the IBEW Local 222 Union.He enjoyed working, playing with his grandbabies and spending time with family.Survivors include his parents, David and Connie Roth; wife, Stacey Duncan; children, Jay Tucker and Buddy (Val) Tucker; 3 grandchildren, Gracie, Buddy, Jr. and Serenity Tucker; sisters, Donella (Blaine) Busker and Celena Roth; brothers, Dustin, Curtis and Carlton Roth; grandparents, Jeraldine Roth and Stella (Don) Kraft; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.Derrick was preceded in death by 2 grandfathers, Wilmar Roth and Don Linn.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
