Diane Kay Clark

January 14, 1939 — January 30, 2025

Sioux City, Iowa

Diane Kay Clark, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2025, in Sioux City, IA, at the age of 86. Diane, the daughter of Bernard and Marjorie (Smith) Beaubien, was born on January 14, 1939, in Storm Lake, IA.

Diane attended Sioux City Community Schools and graduated with the Class of 1957 from Central High School. It was during her high school years that she met her future husband, James Robert "Bob" Clark. They were united in marriage on August 9, 1958, in Sioux City, and together they raised two sons.

Diane dedicated twenty years of her career to the insurance billing department at St. Luke's Hospital before retiring from Morningside Family Practice. Her professional life was marked by a commitment to selflessness, care, and compassion, traits that also defined her personal life. A woman of faith, Diane taught Sunday School at First United Methodist Church and was actively involved at Grace United Methodist Church. Her contributions extended beyond her faith community; she served as a Cub Scout Leader and coached T-Ball, impacting the lives of many young people in the process.

Diane will be remembered fondly for her gentle spirit and unwavering concern for the wellbeing of her loved ones. She found happiness in the simple pleasures of life—bowling in a couples league, being a member of the Midwest Corvette Club, enjoying her Bunco group, boating on the river, and spending winters in Daytona Beach, FL.

Her greatest joy was her family, which she cherished above all else. Diane is survived by her husband, James "Bob" Clark Sr. of Sioux City; two sons: James "Jim" Clark Jr. (Debbie) of Granger, Iowa, and Jeffrey "Jeff" Clark (Julia) of Warsaw, Indiana; five grandchildren: Katelyn Girard (Nick), Jaclyn Hight (John), Christy Bennett (Tim), Jay Clark, and Nicki Clark; and thirteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Donna Gilbertson, and her brother, Gary Beaubien (Diana).

Diane was preceded in death by her parents and her brother-in-law, Carl Gilbertson.

Her visitation is scheduled for Thursday, February 6, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel, located at 6200 Morningside Ave, Sioux City, Iowa 51106. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
