Diane Kaye Mackey

Diane Mackey, 79, of Sioux City, IA, passed away peacefully December 20, 2021 after a lengthy illness.   Services are pending with Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel.  Online condolences may be made to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Diane was born Diane Kaye Nyreen on December 28, 1941 in Sioux City, Iowa. At nine months old, she and her family moved to Burbank, CA where they lived until she was ten years old. They moved back to Iowa in 1951 and lived in Sioux City until her passing. Diane attended Woodrow Wilson Junior High and Central High Schools. Diane was married to Larry Kunkle from 1961 until 1965 and married to Norman Mackey Sr. from 1966 until 1975.

Diane loved to spend time with family and friends. She also enjoyed crocheting, making flower arrangements, Country and Western music and dancing.

She is survived by her children Lori Eilers (Randy), Mike Mackey, Norman Mackey Jr., Dan Mackey, brother Jerry Nyreen and grandchildren: Micaela Deghmoum, Keaton Eilers, Tyler Brown, Kilee Watson, Jakob Mackey, Dylan Mackey, Violet Hammond and great grandchildren; Eleanor and Eloise Brown.

She is preceded in death by her son Chad Mackey, daughter Julie Brown, her parents Sidney Jr and LaVonne Nyreen, and grandparents Sidney Sr and Lydia Nyreen and Ross and Ethel Eberly.
