Donald R. Hinzman

Donald R. Hinzman, 66 of Sioux City, Iowa passed away Saturday, November 14, 2020 at a local hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Friday, November 20, 2020 at the Mohr & Backer-Hunt Funeral Home, 1431 W. 29^th St., South Sioux City, NE. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Donald Raymond Hinzman was born October 9, 1954 in Sioux City the son of Edward and Delilah (Jordan) Hinzman. He grew up in Sioux City. Don married Cheryl Mohr November 24, 1979. Together they made their home in Sioux City.

Don did many things for work. He was good with his hands, whether it be construction, working on vehicles or with electricity, he could do it all.

 Don loved spending time with his family, especially with his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. He was affectionately known as “Little Papa” to his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Don enjoyed music and baking cinnamon bread for his wife and kids.

He is survived by wife, Cheryl Hinzman, three children, Dawn (Adrian) Contreras, Tonia (Corey) Matz, Lynn (Jose Orozco) Hinzman, brother, William Hinzman, sister, Joyce (Lloyd) Miller,  9 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

Don is preceded in death by his parents.
