Donald E. Irwin

Donald E. Irwin, 69, of North Sioux City passed away Thursday, July 25, 2019 at a local hospital. A memorial service will be held 10:00 A.M. Thursday, August 1, 2019 at the Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel with a visitation one hour prior to service time. Rev. Todd Schlitter will officiate. Donald was born August 29, 1949 to Harry and Caroline Rose Ann (Groenhagen) Irwin in Sioux City, Iowa. He worked as a farmer for many years. He also worked as a school bus driver. In 2000, Donald met Jody Barnes, they were married in 2002 in Mission, Texas.

Donald enjoyed cooking and grilling out, traveling with Jody to Texas, and going on cruises. He was a very caring a giving person.

Donald is survived by his wife, Jody of North Sioux City; step-daughter Cathy (Arnie Myers) Kempema of Dakota City, NE; brothers Kenneth Irwin, Brian Irwin, Martin Irwin; his aunts JoAnn DeSutter of Pekin, IL and Darlene Umholtz of Hanna City, IL; and several cousins.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, and three aunts.
