Donna M. Frahm

LaDonna "Donna" M. Frahm, 81, of rural Martinsburg, NE passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Regency Square Care Center in South Sioux City, NE.Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, December 12, 2016 at United Methodist Church in Ponca, NE. Burial will be in Silver Ridge Cemetery in rural Ponca. Visitation will begin at 5:00 P.M., with the family present at 6:00 P.M. and a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. on Sunday, December 11, 2016 at Mohr Funeral Home in Ponca.Donna was born on December 13, 1934 in Ponca, NE, the daughter of Albert and Ida (Taylor) Armstrong. She graduated from Ponca High School in 1952. Donna married Calvin Frahm on June 24, 1954 in Ponca, NE. They moved to Allen, NE in 1955 and to rural Ponca in 1960. The couple farmed for 50 years. Donna earned her Master's Degree from Wayne State College. She worked for New York Life, Security National Bank in Allen, NE, and she taught country school before teaching in the South Sioux City Schools for 30 years.She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Ponca and Eastern Star. She loved to travel with Cal and also enjoyed playing musical instruments, including the steel guitar and organ, playing cards, and she loved to be outside with her animals, including dogs, cats, and horses. She always had a coffee pot on for visitors.Survivors include nieces and nephews, Patsy (Bill) Barth, Venita (Gary) Wilcox, Alfred (Linda) Stark, Randy (Rhonda) Stark, Alan and Linda Frahm; and special friends, Gary and Sharon Sullivan, Mark and Peggy Gregg; and many more nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and friends.She preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Ida Armstrong, her husband, Cal on September 7, 2016; and a sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie and Fred Stark.
