Donna Rae Goodier, 81 of South Sioux City, Nebraska passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at a local nursing facility. Funeral Services will be at Noon, Monday, March 3, 2025 at the Mohr & Becker-Hunt Funeral Home in South Sioux City, Nebraska with Chaplain Janell Norton officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sioux City, Iowa. Visitation, with the family present, will begin Monday morning at 11am at the funeral home. Donna Rae was born on August 18, 1943 in Lyons, Nebraska to Raymond and Midge (Means) Swanson. They later moved to Sioux City, Iowa. Donna graduated from East High School in 1961 and later graduated from Beauty School. She married Ronald F. Goodier on April 21, 1962.

Donna worked at Zenith until they closed and then retired from Interbake Foods after 27 years where she was known as the “Overtime Queen”.

Donna loved baking and decorating cakes for family and friends. She loved decorating her home for Halloween and Christmas. Donna enjoyed crocheting, doing puzzle books, watching movies, and spending time with family and her dog Chester. She was a big Elvis Presley fan and was able to visit Graceland in 2021.

Donna is survived by her children Jeff Goodier (Marlis Watterson) of Sioux City, Iowa, Sandra (Robert) Schnoes of South Sioux City, Nebraska, Lisa (Tim) Eslick of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Raymond Goodier of Harrisburg, South Dakota; brother Robert Swanson of Storm Lake, Iowa; grandchildren Joseph Schnoes, Adam (Jeannie) Schnoes, Vanessa Goodier, John Goodier, Brianna (Mike) Sullivan, Samantha (Matt) Fristad, Amanda Goodier, Amber (Josh) Haiar, Tyler Eslick, and 9 Great Grandchildren.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister Jeannie Swanson, father and mother-in-law Orville and Dorothy Goodier, and grandson Brandon Eslick.
