Donna L. Kleinberg

Donna L. Kleinberg, 84, of Dakota City, NE passed away on Monday, May 30, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, IA.Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, June 3, 2016 at First Presbyterian Church in South Sioux City, NE with Rev. Stephan Niles officiating. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery in Pender, NE. Visitation with the family present will begin at 5:00 P.M., with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City, NE.Donna was born on April 24, 1932 in Pender, NE, the daughter of Donald and Anna (Allen) McQuistan. She started to school in Thurston, then her family moved to a farm near Emerson. She graduated from Emerson High School in 1949. Donna married Edwin Kleinberg on November 5, 1950 at the Presbyterian Church in Emerson. The couple lived in Emerson where she was a homemaker and worked as bookkeeper for her father's filling station before they moved to South Sioux City in 1956. In 1984 they moved to Dakota City. Donna sold Avon in Emerson and the South Sioux City area for over 60 years. Edwin passed away on October 27, 2000.She was a very active member of First Presbyterian Church, where she taught Sunday school and served as a Deacon. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking and karaoke.Survivors include her children, Roxie (Ken) Lake, Rhonda Potts, Scott Kleinberg, Hugh (Amy) Kleinberg and David Kleinberg all of the local area and Craig (Kris) Kleinberg of Colorado Springs, CO; 5 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brother, Roger (Jan) McQuistan of Loma Linda, CA; sister, Carol (Warren) Johnston of South Sioux City; and several nieces and nephews.Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Kleinberg; parents, Donald and Anna McQuistan; and a younger brother, D.D. McQuistan.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for designations to be made at a later time.
