Donna F Knecht

Donna F. Knecht, 84, of Winnebago, passed away Thursday, September 6, 2018.  Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, September 9, 2018 at the United Methodist Church, Homer, Nebraska.  Visitation will be Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at the church.  Burial will be in the Omaha Valley Cemetery.  Becker Hunt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  Donna was born April 6, 1934 the daughter of Walter and Lela (Ashworth) Pearson in Sioux City.  She was raised in Salix and graduated from Central High School in Sioux City with the class of 1952.  On June 22,  1952  she married Vernon Knecht at Methodist Church in Sioux City and the couple farmed and raised their children near Winnebago.   Donna is survived by her husband Vernon of Winnebago, two sons, Kim Knecht of Walthill, and Terry Knecht and Frank Hasenwinkel of Oakland Park, Florida, two daughters Cathy and Curtis Stutheit of Omaha and Sandra and Tim Ahlers of Rosalie, one sister Shari Langin of Sioux City, 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents.
