Donna Peters

Donna M. Peters, 86, of South Sioux City, NE passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2016 at Regency Square Care Center in South Sioux City, NE.Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City, NE. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation with the family present will begin one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.Donna was born on September 14, 1930 in Sioux City, IA, the daughter of Walter and Lottie (Isreal) Gregg. She grew up in Sioux City and attended Woodrow Wilson School. She married Ed Hansen and to this union two children were born. The couple later divorced. Donna married Donald Peters and to this union one son was born. The couple settled in South Sioux City where they lived for 60 years. Donna worked in several packing houses, retiring from Elanco ten years ago.She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening and gambling.Survivors include two children, Roxie (Jerome) Jacobson and Lynn (Debbie) Peters, all of South Sioux City, NE; grandchildren, Shane and Kandy Jacobson, Kelly and Donald Peters; numerous other grand, great and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Lottie Gregg; her husband, Donald Peters; a son, Michael Hansen; 4 sisters; and 1 brother.
