Douglas C. Livermore, 74, of Sioux City, IA, passed away on February 5, 2022. A funeral service will be held Friday, February 11 at 10 AM at Sunnybrook Community Church. Doug was born on March 27, 1947 in Oto, IA to Carl and Irene (Green) Livermore. He graduated from Anthon-Oto High School in 1965 and went on to earn an Associate’s Degree from WITCC in 1967. He then earned a B.S. in 1973 and M.S.E in 1976 from Wayne State College. Doug was united in marriage to the love of his life, Vicki Degner, on February 9, 1974. He then completed his Ed.D. in 1986 at the University of Northern Colorado, leading him to become an avid Broncos fan. After teaching at Wayne State for five years, he and Vicki moved to Sioux City, IA where he spent the next 32 years as a professor at Morningside. Doug and Vicki shared two children together, Stephanie (Livermore) Keller and KC Livermore. He was a passionate supporter of sports and activities at Morningside and enjoyed traveling. Doug was a dedicated and loving husband, father, and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife (Vicki), son and daughter-in-law, (KC and Samantha Livermore) and their children (Avery, Sawyer, and Vance), son-in-law (Kevin Keller) and his daughter (Sophia), and brother (Ron Livermore) as well as numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
He is preceded in death by his parents (Carl and Irene Livermore), sister (Bev Huth), and daughter (Stephanie Keller).
