Douglas Gene Moore Jr., 29, of Emerson, NE passed away on Monday, May 26, 2014 at his residence.Funeral services were held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City, NE. Burial was in East View Cemetery in rural Allen, NE. Visitation with the family present was from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Friday, May 30, 2014 at the funeral home.Douglas Gene Moore Jr. was born on December 21st 1984 in Wayne, NE. He grew up in Allen, NE and graduated in 2004. He became a dad on February 12th 2007 to an amazing little girl named Abigail. He married the love of his life Vanessa Emmons from Emerson, NE on January 28th 2014. He also stepped in and became a caring father to a wonderful son named Anthony. Doug was a man that was high on life. He enjoyed making everyone laugh and smile on a daily basis. He loved to spend time with his family and friends. Some of his favorite things in life were the Green Bay Packers, helping people when in need, and helping at the local swap meet. His favorite thing in life was being a dad and a devoted husband. Doug will be greatly missed by his wife, Vanessa Moore; daughter, Abigail and son, Anthony; his mother, Teresa and dad, Dallas of Allen, NE; one brother, Justin Moore & Miranda and their two children, Denton & Harper of Lennox, SD; six sisters, Corissa Moore & her son, Christian of Allen, NE, April Moore of South Sioux City, NE, Katrina & Zach Haugen and their son, Michael of Burke, SD.
