Earl Paul Kegerize passed away on April 29, 2022 at the age of 69, in a care center in Sutherland, Iowa.
In the final years of Earl’s life, he struggled with Dementia/Alzheimer’s but always would see the lighter side of things. Earl loved people, animals, movies, photography, music (can’t forget music), Yosemite Sam, traveling, Renaissance Fairs and most of all his family.
Earl grew up in Reading, PA, graduating High School from Reading High in 1970. He then joined the US Marines and served our great country for a total of 8 years - including a post to Vietnam. His travels just began in the military. He settled for a bit in Chicago, IL and in Palm Harbor, FL and again in Reading, PA - working as a machinist and even at a print shop.
Most recently he resided with his daughter in Sioux City, Iowa with his two GrandDogs - he enjoyed going to musicals, hockey games and the dog park.
Earl’s children are Ray Kegerize - Creston, IA (finance Deb), Kris Kegerize - Sioux City, IA, Lee Larko - Pavo, GA (wife Carolyn), Teri Rametta - Seminole, FL, Beau Larko - Kingsbury, TX (wife Kendra) as well as a host of grandchildren.
Earl leaves behind a sister, May Miller (husband Tony), brother Glen Kegerize, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Earl was predeceased by parents Pearl and James Kegerize, and sister Sandy Kegerize.
In lieu of a Memorial, the family will be hosting a Celebration of Life gathering in Reading, PA welcoming friends to share memories on August 27, from 1 PM - 4 PM - for more information send an email to [email protected]
