Elaine Rochelle Reinert

Elaine Rochelle Reinert, 70 of Sioux City, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at a Sioux Falls hospital.  Abiding by family wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life Service for Elaine will be from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at the Evergreen Village Recreation Room. Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel has assisted the family.  Online condolences may be offered at www.meyerbroschapels.com. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the VFW or buy a drink for a stranger. 

There isn’t any shortage of stories about Elaine.  Some that will make you cry and many that will make you laugh.

Elaine was born on September 3, 1951 in Sioux City, Iowa to Howard H. and Bernita E. (Buck) Hudson. 

Elaine enjoyed gardening, fishing, socializing, drawing, and various types of artworks; however, her greatest joy was spending time with family and friends. 

Elaine is survived by her children Dave (Jennifer Rose) Kubal of Sioux City, Bob (Kerry) McNamara of Sioux City, Heather (Rob) Walsh of Hartford, South Dakota, and Clinton (Blythe) Reinert of Sioux City; ten grandchildren, Luis, Jaden, Emma, Samantha, Sebastian, Dillon, Maliyah, Derek, MaKinley, and Rhett; two great-grandchildren Luis Jr., and Adrian.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard Reinert, and special friend Tom Collins.
