Emma Jean Craig, 89, of Sioux City passed away Monday, July 26, 2021 at a local care center.
Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, July 29, 20201 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Visitation with the family present will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Graceland Park Cemetery. Online condolences may be given at www.meyerbroschapels.com.
Emma was born December 26, 1931 in Sioux City, the daughter of Jess William and Hazel Marie (Davis) Cook. She married Thomas B. Craig on January 21, 1956 in Elk Point, SD. He preceded her in death on January 18, 2010 in Sioux City. Emma was a caregiver all of her life, taking loving care of her children, their friends, and many family members throughout the years. She enjoyed baking and cooking for the family get-togethers, sewing, crafts, upholstery work, and making dolls. She loved her flowers, gardening, and especially spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her children: Mickey (Heike) Craig of Sioux City, Jodie Craig of Sioux City, and Geraldine (Matthew) Mayes of Washington; grandchildren: Jadyn, Jessica, Mickey Jr., Roxane, Jacob, Zachary, Andrew, Ian, Ron, Terri, Scottie, and Bonna; numerous great grandchildren; and sisters: Mary Cook, Patty Caplan, and Virginia Cook.
Emma was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons: Danny and Tommy, her granddaughter Aaryn, and her siblings: Jim, Clara, Don, Bob, Verna, Ralph, and Danny.
