Eric Julian Fachman

Eric Julian Fachman, 68, of Sioux City passed away Thursday, November 14, 2019 at his home. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, November 25, 2019 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (1201 W. Clifton Ave Sioux City, IA 51104). High Priest Kent Crandall will officiate. Burial will be at a later date. Eric was born April 30, 1951 in Sioux City, Iowa to Henry W. and Mary M. (Cook) Fachman. He attended and graduated from Central High School in 1970 in Sioux City. He resided in Sioux City until the age of sixteen when he moved to Cherokee, IA where he resided until he was twenty five years old. He then moved back to Sioux City where he resided until his passing. In 1984, Eric married Linda Huitt. They shared 5 years of marriage. In 1997, he married Mary Sheldon. Mary passed away on May 8, 2012.

Eric attended many support groups for mental and spiritual health and development. He worked various jobs throughout his life.

Those left to honor his memory are his daughters; Christine Fachman of Iowa City and Angela Fachman of Sioux City; grandson Matthew Urban; sisters Sylvia (Conrad) Castle of Sioux City and Valerie (Scott Baker) Fachman of San Francisco, CA; brother Lance (Delores) Fachman of Hammond, LA; and many nieces and nephews.

Eric was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Mary.
