Eva R. Flom

Eva R. Flom, 87, of Sioux City, Iowa died Monday, February 13 , 2017 at a localhospital. Memorial services will be 11:00 Friday, February 17 , 2017 at Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City, NE. Eva was born March 30, 1929 in Emerson, Nebraska, the daughter of Russell and Nellie (Linafelter) Williams. Eva graduated from Emerson High School. OnDecember 26, 1949, Eva was united in marriage to Randall Flom in Ponca. Together they made their home near Storm Lake, later moving to a farm near Jackson and finally settling in Sioux City in 1956. Over the years she worked as a phone operator for Northern Bell. She also sold Sarah Coventry Jewelry around the area. After retiring they moved to Newcastle, NE. After her husband Randall died in 2010, she moved to Sioux City. Eva and Randall enjoyed going square dancing, and Eva loved to go to rummage sales and garage sales. Eva is survived by her sons, David (Kim) Flom of North Sioux City, SD, and JeffFlom of Omaha, NE; a daughter Jeni Wright of Madison, Wisconsin; a step-grandson, Marty Struthers; and a step-great granddaughter Hannah Struthers; and one sister, Iva Sullivan of Sioux City.She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Randall.
