Frances “Sue” Newill, 86 of South Sioux City passed away Friday, May 4, 2018 at a Sioux City Hospital. Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Wednesday at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, South Sioux City with Rev. Jose Miranda officiating. There will be a lunch in the church fellowship hall immediately following the service. Graveside service will be 2 P.M. in the City Cemetery, Lyons, NE. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 P.M. Tuesday at Becker – Hunt Funeral Home. Sue was born March 10, 1932 in Thurston, Nebraska the daughter of Frank L. and Emma (Zvacek) Kubik. She graduated from Rosalie Nebraska High School in 1950.She married Darold Newill in January 17, 1952 in South Sioux City. She was employed as a secretary with the South Sioux City Schools for forty years. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in South Sioux City. She enjoyed playing cards with her teacher friends and spending time with nieces and nephews. Survivors include her son Larry of South Sioux City, nieces, nephews, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Darold February 18, 1997, three infant sons, nine brothers and three sisters. Pallbearers will be: Mark Kubik, Scott Kubik, Travis Mattes, Andy Mattes, Doug Mattes and Sid Porter.
