Francies A. Cooper

Francies A. Cooper, 75, of Jackson, NE passed away May 1, 2021 at a local hospital.  A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City, NE with Rev. Fred Sundt officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be at Taylor Cemetery in Homer, NE.  Online condolences may be made to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Francies was born on September 4, 1945 to Howard and Imelda (Riley) O’Meara. She married Ronald Cooper on May 18, 1963. They were blessed with a son, Scott and a daughter, Carrie Jo (Susie). She worked at O’Neil Elevator, which later became Schooler Grain, and at the AmPride convenience store in Jackson.  After retiring she then began babysitting her granddaughters, whom she loved spending time with.  She enjoyed being outdoors, mushroom hunting, and having picnics at Powder Creek.  In her younger years she enjoyed bowling and playing bingo.

Those left to honor her memory include; children, Scott Cooper and Carrie Jo (Susie) Nelson; 2 granddaughters, Cortney and Rachel Nelson; siblings: Mary Burcham and her husband, Richard, Pat O'Meara, Jean O'Meara, Ann O'Meara, Theresa Finley and her husband, Ray; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 2 brothers, Donnie and John O’Meara; and 1 sister, Maggie O’Meara

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for designations to be made at a later time.
