Fred A. Glover

Fred A. Glover, 69, of South Sioux City, NE passed away December 23, 2017, at home, surrounded by family.Funeral services will be at Mohr Funeral Home Wednesday December 27 at 10:00 A.M., graveside services will be at 2:30 that afternoon at Wyuka Cemetery in Nebraska City, followed by a gathering at the Eagles Club in Nebraska City. Visitation will be at Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City on Tuesday night from 5:30 to 7:30 P.M.Fred was born August 24, 1948 in Nebraska City, NE to Fred W. and Dorothy (Wurtele) Glover. He was baptized and confirmed at Bethel United Church of Christ in Nebraska City. Fred graduated from Nebraska City High School in 1966. He was in the trucking business his entire adult life. He started hauling cattle from the sale barn in Nebraska City as a kid, and then eventually started Glover Trucking. He married the love of his life Judith (Judy) Glover on July 10, 1981 at the Rose Garden in Sioux City, Iowa.He was a member of First Lutheran Church in South Sioux City, Nebraska.Fred truly enjoyed working, but when he was home, he liked boating with family and friends, his dogs, cooking, and swearing at the Huskers and the politicians.He is survived by his daughter, Nichole (Niki) of South Sioux; son, Bret of South Sioux; sister, Roxie (Dan) Cillessen of Weatherford, TX; several nieces, nephews, and close personal friends.Fred was preceded in death by his wife, and his mother and father. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospice of Siouxland.
