Georgene J. Cutsor, 67, of Ponca passed away on Thursday, July 5, 2012, at a Sioux City hospital.Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Evangelical Free Church in Ponca, with the Rev. Dennis Ritchey officiating. Inurnment will follow in Ponca City Cemetery. A memorial visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Mohr Funeral Home in Ponca. Georgene was born on Feb. 19, 1945 in Winner, S.D., the daughter of George and Jean "Teal" Schuppan. She was united in marriage with Richard A. Cutsor on July 28, 1972 in Elk Point, S.D. The couple lived in South Sioux City until 1973, when they moved to the Ponca area.Georgene formerly worked as a waitress, and was most recently employed at Wal-Mart in South Sioux City. She enjoyed baking, reading cookbooks, sewing, watching wildlife and spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband, Richard of Ponca; daughters, Shirley Asmann of Sioux City, and Vickie Allen and her husband, Dale of Galva, Iowa; brother, Butch Schuppan; and sisters, Dixie Archer, Bobbie Carter and Sharleen Smith.She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Todd Winchell; and great-granddaughter, Breonna Redding. She loved her husband of 40 years, with all of her heart. He made her life complete.
