Glenda Kay Wendte, 54, of Emerson, NE passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at a local hospital.
Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Emerson, NE. Visitation with the family will be Friday, February 25, 2022 from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at the church. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Emerson. Online condolences may be given at www.meyerbroschapels.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Mohr & Becker-Hunt Funeral Home in South Sioux City.
Glenda was born February 27, 1967 in Pender, Nebraska, the daughter of Leroy and Paulina (Paulson) Krusemark. She graduated from Emerson-Hubbard High School and attended Northeast Community College. She married Robert Wendte on May 16, 1986 at Sacred Hearth Catholic Church in Emerson.
Glenda worked for Great Dane Trailers in Wayne, NE. Glenda’s love for the outdoors was evident by her joy of camping, gardening, and spending time outside. She also loved her animals and spending time with her family. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband Robert Wendte of Emerson; mother Paulina Krusemark of Emerson; children: Maria Wendte of Watertown, SD, Richelle (Kyle) Webster of Pender, NE, Patrick Wendte of Wayne, NE, and Sheridan Wendte of Emerson, NE; grandchildren: Lucas Bennett and Maverick Webster; siblings: Ann (Tim) Waldschmidt, Harlan (MaryAnn) Krusemark, David (Cindy) Krusemark, Debra (Jess) Mackling, Bryan (Carmen) Krusemark, and Duane (Jean) Krusemark.
She was preceded in death by her father Leroy Krusemark, brothers: Daniel, Dale, and Kenneth, daughter Laura Renae, and beloved dog Puggles.
