Harold E. Heiden, 71, of Sioux City, passed away Monday, October 5, 2020 at a local hospital. A memorial service will take place Friday, October 9 at 11:00 A.M. at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Harold was born on March 23rd, 1949, in Sioux City, Iowa. He attended high school in Sargent Bluff. He attended Western Iowa Tech and obtained a degree in drafting. He spent the majority of his career working as a batch master in the ready-mix industry. One of Harold’s early hobbies was bowling, and post retirement Harold enjoyed spending time camping with family, and playing cards with friends.
Harold is survived by his long time special friend Cindy Hofmeister Sioux City, IA, brothers Les (Donna) Yuma, Arizona, Greg (Wylene) Cape Coral, Florida, sisters Chris Arndt (Dennis) Brandon, Minnesota, Dawn Kukuk (Kirk) Sioux City, IA, sons Chad (Meggan) LaVista, NE, Aaron Omaha, NE, Cindy’s sons: Mike Hofmeister (Kim) Pender, NE, Cory Hofmeister (Stephanie) North Sioux City, SD, his beloved grandchildren Camden, Beckett, Cole, Carley, Chase, Kaitlyn, and all the nieces and nephews that shared his life.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Heiden Sr., and his mother Catherine (Dolores) Heiden.
