Harvey Jenkins

Harvey Jenkins, 61, of Dakota City, NE passed away on Monday, February 23, 2015 at a Sioux City hospital.Memorial services will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at the Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City, NE with Rev. Roger Madden officiating. Interment will be at a later date. Visitation with the family present will be from 5:00 P.M. until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.Harvey was born in Sioux City, IA on June 7, 1953, the son of Walter and Grace (Hayes) Jenkins. He graduated from High School in California. He married Martha Vondrak on June 16, 1994 in Sioux City IA. He worked at IBP for 34 years.He loved to fish and hunt and he was an Iowa Hawkeye football fan. He also enjoyed attending Terra's athletic contests and spending time with his grandchildren.Survivors include his wife, Martha Jenkins of Dakota City, NE, children, Dustin (Rena) Vallejo of Sioux City, IA, Terra Weddle and her significant other, Austin Stadtlander of Dakota City, NE, and Jana Vandestouwe of George, IA; grandchildren, Anthony and Carol Thomas, Fairuza, Tanis, Eben and Zeke Vallejo, and Brantley Stadtlander; sisters, Barbara Leners of Lincoln, NE, Wanda (Joe) Bronner of Altoona, WI and Regina Sevier of South Sioux City, NE; and many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Grace Jenkins; and 2 brothers-in-law, Virgil Leners and Jack Sevier.
