Helen (Jones) Comstock-Osbahr, 97, of South Sioux City, NE passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2016 at Regency Square Care Center in South Sioux City, NE. Memorial services will be at 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City, NE. Visitation with the family present will begin one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.Helen (Jones) Comstock-Osbahr was born October 26th, 1919 in Hubbard, Nebraska to Will and Lucy (Purucker) Jones, and earned her angel wings, Sunday, December 11th, 2016. She graduated in 1938 from Allen High School in Allen, Nebraska. July 3rd, 1938 she married Marvin Comstock, where they lived on a farm and raised their (4) sons: Ron, Dan, Norm & Bob. They moved to South Sioux City in 1965 and she worked for Pamida for 15 years. In 1967 they bought a home in Sioux City, Iowa where she and Marvin lived until his death in 1986. She married Myron Osbahr on September 17, 1993, and moved back to South Sioux City in 2007. Helen enjoyed spending time with family, cooking, taking walks, taking care of others, playing bingo and gambling. She was well known for her fried chicken and sour cream raisin pie. She is survived by her two sons, Ron (Harriet), Bob (Becky); daughter-in-law, Sue (wife of Dan); 13 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Comstock; her parents; two brothers; three sisters; two sons and daughter-in-law (Dan, Norm & Pat); and granddaughter, Rhonda Comstock-Bray. The family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation to the staff at Hospice of Siouxland and Regency Square for their great care and services. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that gifts be made to Hospice of Siouxland in honor of Helen.
