Hunter Shawn Meylor

Hunter Shawn Meylor, 19, of Sioux City passed away Sunday, March 20, 2022 at a local hospital.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, March 25, 2022 at Calvary Lutheran Church.  Visitation with the family will be Thursday from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 P.M. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.  Online condolences may be given at www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Hunter was born August 26, 2002 in Sioux City, the son of Kyle and Jamie (Gray) Meylor.  He grew up as a great brother and friend, protector, and athlete; playing baseball most of his life.  He loved hanging out with his friends, loud music, playing video games, hunting, spending time with his family and his beloved dog Levi.  Hunter loved to be on the water whether it was swimming, boating, or fishing.  He attended North High School and was working for Seaboard Triumph Foods.

Survivors include his parents:  Kyle Meylor and Jamie Meylor; siblings:  Ryan Meylor, Mackenzie Meylor, Mark Meylor, and Andrea Meylor; paternal grandma:  Rhonda Meylor, maternal grandparents:  Russ and Amber Gray; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Waiting to greet him in Heaven are his grandpa Mark Meylor and his cousin Mason Reed.
