Jackie L. Keizer, 68 of Dakota Dunes, SD passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2022 at her residence following a brief illness.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Thursday at Sunnybrook Community Church with Pastor

 B.J. Van Kalsbeek officiating. Private family burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation with the family present will be from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Online condolences may be sent to www.myerbroschapels.

Jackie was born February 26, 1953 in Sioux City; she was the daughter of Robert and Dora (Grouse) Boggs. Jackie grew up in the Salix and Sloan area and graduated from Westwood High School. She raised two daughters working as a waitress and truck dispatcher when she met her future husband, Jim. Jackie married James Keizer September 15, 1978 in South Sioux City, NE. He passed away on June 30, 2012 in Sioux City. Jackie and Jim owned and operated Keizer Refrigeration and Mid States Utility for many years until she retired. They enjoyed spending their winters in Florida and traveling both domestically and internationally.

Jackie enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an animal advocate and helped care for Second Chance animals.

Survivors include her children: Stacy Bricker of Naples, FL, Shane Keizer (Shawn) of Dakota Dunes, SD and Amy Jones (Andy) of Tampa, FL; her mother Dora Boggs of Sergeant Bluff, IA; her sisters: Phyllis Schmitt (Kenny) of Benton, KY and Jerri Moore of Sloan, IA; her grandchildren: Cassie, Cody and Jake Jackson, Jayden Skyberg, Kayla and Lindsey Bricker, Brooklyn, Kolby and Mackenzie Keizer, Avery and Aly Jones; and 5 great grandchildren. Jackie is also survived by her best friend, her dog Morky.

Jackie was preceded in death by her father Robert, her husband Jim and her daughter Lana Jackson and her dog Buddy.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Siouxland Humane Society.
