Jacqueline Lea “Jacki” Pearson, 74, of Sioux City passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at her residence. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Jacqueline was born on July 23, 1947 in Sioux City, to Harold and Loretta (Tooker) Hoefling. She married John Pearson in 1963 in California, and to this union four children were born: Chad, Dawn, Brady, and Kris. Jacqueline later met her soulmate, Rex Almond, whom she spent seven years with until his passing.
Jacqueline worked in various industries, and was especially proud of the many years that she worked for Community Action Agency in Sioux City. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening and spending time with family. She loved cheering on the Chicago Bears.
She is survived by her three sons: Chad Pearson (Beth) of Sioux City; Brady Pearson of South Sioux City; and Kris Pearson (Elizabeth) of South Sioux City; four brothers; 14 grandchildren: Tylar, Skylar, David, Michelle, Clifton III, Jerod, Mickayla, Michael, Justus, Brock, Cole, Larry, Cassandra, and Brianna; 12 great-grandchildren: David III, Melody, Serenity, Damien, Duncan, John, Karter, Jaxon, Noah, Faith, Kyle, Jr., and Elli.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Dawn Pearson; her first husband, John; her soulmate, Rex Almond; her mother, Loretta; and her sister and brother-in-law, Eileen and Paul Golden.
