Janet was born on June 24, 1950 in Sioux City to Eugene and Bernadine (Connell) McClure. Janet was a spunky, funny, and loving person. She had three children, Kimi, Michael, and Leda, and was an amazing Nana to her fourteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren (which she loved so very much). She married Paul O. Wiig on July 26, 1985 on the river by Elk Point, South Dakota. Janet worked in a few different professions, but retired from Pech Optical Corporation, where she manufactured eyewear. She enjoyed shopping, fishing, and traveling, and we can’t forget how she loved her dog. She was a person who lit up a room, and was the life-of-the-party. She will be forever missed.
Janet is survived by her husband Paul of South Sioux City; daughter Kimi Strassner of Sioux City; son Michael Strassner of Remsen, Iowa; and daughter Leda Diede of LeMars, Iowa; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters; and 2 brothers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Nancy, Autumn, Julie, and Mary.
