Jeanette A. Wilson, 89, of Sioux City, passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, December 9, 2022 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel with Pastor Scott Squires officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Jeanette was born on October 3, 1933 in Sioux City, to Joseph and Marie (Ducummon) O’Donnell. On January 13, 1951 she married Ralph Wilson in Sioux City. To this union, three children were born. The two were wed for 66 years until Ralph’s passing in 2017.
Jeanette loved cooking and watching NASCAR; she also enjoyed travelling to Nashville with Ralph and was a big country music fan.
Survivors include her sons: Mike (Cindy) Wilson of Sioux City, and Randy (JoAnn) Wilson of TN; 6 grandchildren: Trevor (Kim) Wilson, Melissa Sanders, Brandon (Ashley) Wilson, Lacey (Brad) Sutton, Destiny (Mike) Papageorge, Christin Brown; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 great- great-grandchildren; siblings: Tom O’Donnell of Sioux City; James O’Donnell of Sioux City; Gary O’Donnell of Boise, ID; Carla (Larry) Schlines of Sioux City; and Charlene Kirk of Salix.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; a son, Joe in 2003; her parents; and five siblings: Bob O’Donnell, Marty Meisner, Lyle O’Donnell, Joseph “Punch” O’Donnell, and Betty Sembach.
