Jeff was born December 8, 1974, in Sioux City, the son of Bob and Mary (Dinges) White. He grew up in Sioux City, attending St Michael’s grade school in Leeds and Bishop Heelan Catholic High School. He was a member of Holy Cross Parish-St. Michael throughout his life.

After high school he attended Iowa State and became a life-long Cyclone fan.  Jeff was an avid sports fan; he loved the strategy of the game.

He married the love of his life, Michelle Semple, on June 18, 1999 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Sioux City and they were blessed with four children.

Jeff worked with his family at RM White Co for many years and began dabbling in home remodeling.  He started Jeff White Construction in 2019, and was known for his attention to detail and his work ethic.

He was devoted to his family, friends, work, and his Catholic faith.  His favorite pastimes were golfing and fishing--even better with just a little wager. He loved to teach his children about the wonders of fishing and the finesse of the game of golf.  He loved attending his children’s events and was very proud of their accomplishments.

Jeff valued his children’s education and enjoyed enticing them with their grades, as his own father did with him. He taught his children the fun of competition in cards and games, especially cribbage, Scrabble, and Texas hold ‘em. He also relished in his role as “Doctor Dad” with his bandaging skills and caring hands.

Jeff’s smile and laugh were contagious. He won a smile contest as a child that earned him a savings bond. He was an unforgettable storyteller; he never left out any details and always added humorous embellishments. Jeff’s charisma won him life-long friends of all ages and the adoration of his nieces and nephews.

Jeff was known for his exceptional strength throughout his lifetime; his healthcare providers were amazed at his ongoing courage and perseverance during his battle with cancer.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Michelle (Semple) White of Sioux City; his three sons and one daughter: Mike, Joe, Bob, and Abbie, all of Sioux City; his mother, Mary White of Sioux City; his siblings: Steve (Peggy) White of Woodbury, MN, and their children: Elizabeth (Tom) Schaeffer, Teddy, and Charlie; Rich (Lisa) White of Sioux Falls, SD, and their sons: Jack, Andy, and Daniel; Bill White of Sioux City and his son, Ryan; Dan White of Sioux City; Jim (Rachel) White of Sioux City and their children: Cicily, Rowan, Kellen, and MacGowan; Angie (Matt) Robertson of Sioux City and their daughters: Olivia, Rianna, Kathleen, and Margaret; and Julie (Pat) Gill of Sioux City and their sons: Sean and Owen.
