Jerald (Jerry) L. Addison

Jerald (Jerry) Lynn Addison, 70, of South Sioux City NE, formerly of Newcastle NE, passed away September 25, 2013 from cancer at the Elms Health Care Center in Ponca, NE.Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City, NE with Don Wood, CLS officiating. Visitation with the family present will be held from 12:30 P.M. until service time at the funeral home on Saturday. Burial will be at a later date.Jerry was born April 11, 1943 on the family farm near Newcastle NE to Winifred (Anderson) and Irving Addison Sr. He attended Newcastle High School and graduated in 1960. He married Jeannette Fayard in Ponca, NE on December 18, 1971. She passed away June 3, 2011.Jerry was an over the road truck driver, driving from coast to coast as well as short runs. Over the years he was employed by various trucking companies including Hirschbach Motor Lines Inc for 17 years, Triple D Trucking for 5 years and several other trucking companies.Survivors include his sister Waleen (Wally) and her husband Joe Gifford of Tabor, SD; sisters-in-law JoAnn Addison of South Sioux City, NE and Betty Jo Addison of Fremont, NE; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Jeannie; brothers, Irving Lee Addison Jr., James (Jim) Addison, and Larry and his wife Phyllis Addison and their infant son, Paul Michael Addison.
