Jerry E. Graves

Jerry E. Graves, 69, of Sioux City, IA passed away on Monday, May 27, 2013 at a Sioux City hospital. He was the innocent victim of a hit and run accident. His death occurred as a result.Visitation will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, with a memorial ceremony at 7:00pm on Friday, May 31, 2013 at the Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City, NE. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery with full military honors. He entered the U.S. Army on February 19, 1963, serving as an infantrymen in the 101st Airborne Division in Vietnam until February 12, 1966. Jerry married Janice Wolf on June 3, 1967 in South Sioux City, NE, and was a lifelong resident of Sioux City, IA.He was an avid motorcyclist, a founding member of the Sioux City Four Wheel Drive Club, and was a member of the American Legion.Survivors include his wife, Janice Graves of Sioux City, IA; sons, Jerry Dean Graves (wife Elizabeth) of Sioux City, IA and Travis Henry Graves (wife Ann) of Elizabethton, TN; grandchildren, Skyler, Devin, Justin, Cortlyn, and Jackson Graves; great-grandchildren, Zaylie and Caylyx Graves; brothers, Don Graves, Ernie Graves and Tom Graves; sisters, Linda Graves, and Ione Timm; and numerous nieces and nephews.Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Esther Graves; and brothers, Bob Graves, Freeman Graves and Raymond Graves.
