John Clifford Scollard

J. Clifford Scollard, 87, of Ponca, NE passed away on Monday, January 3, 2011 at the Elms Health Care Center in Ponca.Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, January 7, 2011 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Ponca with Father David Liewer officiating. Burial will be in Calvary at South Creek Cemetery in rural Ponca with military rites conducted by the Ponca American Legion Chapelle Post #117. Visitation will begin at 6:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 6, 2011, with a scriptural wake service at 7:00 P.M. at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Mohr Funeral Home in Ponca.John Clifford was born in Ponca, NE on March 12, 1923, the son of Leo Patrick and Loretta (Sherlock) Scollard.He was a World War II veteran and a farmer in the Ponca community for many years.He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.Survivors include one brother, Joseph Harold, and his wife, Betty Scollard; five nephews and two nieces.He was preceded in death by his parents.
